— Aerial and mineral landscape photography series by Jennifer Esseiva. All images have been taken at the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
I woke up early that morning to catch my flight over the Grand Canyon. I wanted to capture this amazing place from an airplane. To me, it was the best way to admire the immensity of the Grand Canyon. As a swiss citizen, I am not used to such landscapes. Switzerland can simply fit in the canyons. Such a big empty place appears unbelievable to me. While flying, I discovered the different layers of colour, from red to purple. The strong shadows created by the morning light also accentuate the hard shapes of the landscapes.
