In terms of landscape photography, the sunset at Pico do Arieiro was an absolute must-see on my list, and it did not disappoint. With a fiery red sky and a sea of fog and mist rising, it was a landscape photographer’s paradise.

Madeira is also home to enchanting waterfalls, and the Levada do Caldeirão Verde particularly caught my eye. As I was setting up my camera, the sun broke through, illuminating the lake with a brilliant emerald hue—a moment of sheer magic captured through my lens.

One of the highlights of my journey was the Fanal Forest. Fascinated by its mystical charm, I was drawn to this forest of mist time and again. The Fanal Forest, with its fog-laden atmosphere and gnarled, centuries-old laurel trees, presents endless opportunities for captivating landscape photography.
